ABOUT APSAO AND APSAO CONGRESS

Established in 2013, The Asia-Pacific Society for Artificial Organs (APSAO) aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas among physicians, surgeons, engineers and scientists in the field of artificial organs through scientific meetings and collaborations in the Asia-Pacific region. The member societies of APSAO include International Federation for Artificial Organs (IFAO), American Society for Artificial Internal Organs (ASAIO), European Society for Artificial Organs (ESAO) and Japanese Society for Artificial Organs (JSAO). The first congress of APSAO was held on the 24th October 2015 in Gwangwondo, Korea. Since then, the congress has been held annually in different member countries, including China, India, Taiwan and Japan. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been holding our annual congress virtually, since 2020. This is the first year after the pandemic that we are able to organize the APSAO meeting on-site. More information about past annual conferences:
